On City of Sofia web site one can
find a lot of information about the city: history, business, city utilities,
city districts, privatisation activities, some major projects, photo-gallery,
e-card, map of Sofia, etc.
More connected with the work of E-MuniS team is the site of Sredec, the central district of Sofia, where
E-MuniS solution are best implemented. The choice of a district municipality
for implementation of E-MuniS outcomes was based on the fact that the
district (and not the city as a whole) is the place the citizen contact with
the municipal authorities and get services.
Back Office, Front Office and City Portal solutions of E-MuniS project were
implemented in Sredec. The implementation of Back Office started with a
service called "Heirs certificate". Because of procedural
difficulties (presence of citizens is required in order to initiate certain
service and electronic signature even legible is still very expensive and
therefore rare), the other outcome - Front Office is implemented in Public
Internet Access Point, where municipal servant can approve citizens willing
to start defined service. City Portal is as well implemented for the
mentioned district using the developed in the Project City Portal
architecture. Information in the Portal can easily be updated just preparing
and sending Word files.
An implementation of City Portal "Heirs certificate" and two other
services related to civil registration in 5 other Sofia districts has been
started.
At the top of the page are placed some views of the city region. The logo of
the City and name of the region are inserted in the left corner. The middle
of the page shows a part of the City Map lightening the location of the
region of SREDEC in Sofia and its neighbour regions.
