E-MUNIS PROJECT LINKS TO CITIES WEB-SITES |

Rijeka City Portal consists of web pages, information service, interactive
city map Web site was established according to the E-MuniS project recommendations with the i-Site CMS (Content Management Software) solution developed i-Site by Croatian partner company Perpetuum mobile ltd. The solution is based on Microsoft working environment and tools (NT, SQL, Net, ASP .). The main feature of the applied software is the end user orientation - daily updates are performed by WEB co-ordinators from each municipality department. City information system is the key element of the Portal to serve the citizens through the Internet and provide them with basic information concerning the City administration. The software solution applied is EUMIS, developed in the Fraunhofer Institute based on Microsoft working environment and tools. The main features of the project is an intuitive approach of the user capable to reach the requested information in many ways: through the glossary of the services, life events, data on organisations, services providers or directly by choosing an appropriate form from the form depot. Interactive City Map was developed by IT Institute (GIS services) following the recommendations of the E-MuniS project. Map is based on graphical layers (vectorised map) CAD city map has been worked out with 1600 units, 1550 addresses, 620 streets and 1500 photos. The graphic data are integrated into the existing alpha numeric data base resulting in an interactive city map connected to the information service in a way that a click on any address from service providers position on the map. The usage of the map in an interactive mode provides a choice and an insight into the network of major units and institutions, such as: clinics, pharmacies, hospitals, bus stations, tourist accommodation units according to types, police stations etc. |
